To David Gregory’s show, Race for the White House

I was appalled to observe you and your guest's commentary on Obama’s current situation in his bid for the presidency. First, to hear Pat Buchanan refer to the “issue” of Reverend Wright as a “noose around his neck” was clearly disturbing, though not surprising. But then to hear you use the term “lynch pin” and then back to Buchanan stating that this could be the ghettoizing of Obama, simply disgusted me. How could you not be aware of your own symbolism? SHAME ON YOU David Gregory; you need to bump it up a notch.

Are journalists and pundits going to blow America’s chance to have an astounding leader? How about getting some political science academics, or historians, or anyone that does not have a self-serving motive? I am both dismayed and distraught that our chances to have a leader with the reasoned perspective of Obama could be flushed down the toilet of “got-ya-journalism.” Since 9-11 we have all been saying “God bless America”; however it seems we are far more willing to swallow the fast-food “compassionate conservatism” than to endure the green-leafy vegetables of the audacity of truth.
