WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) today introduced legislation to temporarily suspend the Pentagon’s use of personality disorder discharges after receiving broad, bipartisan support for an identical amendment he proposed to the Defense Authorization bill. The bill would institute a moratorium on discharge procedures until they are thoroughly reviewed and an independent review board is established. Senators Bond (D-MO), Boxer (D-CA), Lieberman (I-CT), McCaskill (D-MO), Murray (D-WA), Durbin (D-IL), Johnson (D-SD), Sanders (I-VT), and Whitehouse joined as co-sponsors."

Seems our government is encouraging our VA physicians to diagnose returning Vets as having "personality disorders" in order to be able to deny them their appropriate benefits. Yet Blackwater seems to get quite a bit more salary then our good men and women do. When are you going to step out of this house of mirrors? First things first: you detach yourself from corporate lobbyists, rally citizens to rally legislators, develop an administration that has an ethical Attorney General, Secretary of State, etc... and then with democratic leadership in the house and senate we could actually BEGIN to mop up the pernicious consequences of this malicious monopoly of greed.

If the corporate media would give this as much publicity as it does Rev. Wright, perhaps more citizens would contact their representatives and lobby for this important legislation.

Look into it and you'll find who REALLY supports the troops.
